Really enjoyed a walk down memory lane.
Im an ex pat living in Perth Australia since 1973 and I never had the privilege of playing in this cup. My Father Sid Smith was a winner with both Stafford Road and Marandola

As I previously mentioned wolverhampton referees association produced some brilliant referees under the guidance of Alex, Moz baker and George Holt some of the lads made the move up to the football league other very good refs still turned out every Saturday and Sunday and still supported the hunt cup

Some brilliant referees came through the wolverhampton referees association to note when I first started refereeing John Latham, Ken Whitehouse, Arthur Saunders always immaculately dressed in there refs kit we used to look up to these lads who always gave support to the hunt cup

To referee the Hunt Cup finalin2005was the highlight of my 25 years as what I would call myself a grass roots referee its a night I will never forget I enjoyed every minute I can still remember the night at Darlaston FC when Allen Cain told me I had been selected to ref the game, so I would encourage any young referee to get involved with the J W Hunt Cup
